Gary, along with his friends that are in gambling, renaissance fairs and assorted unsavory vices, stumble upon a rare, medieval game called"1 3 Demons." They discover the game features a dark history and was prohibited from many countries sometime ago for mysterious and strange reasons including unexplained deaths credited to the match. The object would be to spare the Realm of Darkhaven from the 1-3 Demons of this Apocalypse. They opt to play and chalk it up to urban legend with, what they don't really understand is that the Earth disguised as humans is presently walked by the 1 3 Demons. Slowly, the match consumes themseducing them into believing they are"The Golden Paladins," and therefore are on a holy mission to conserve the world. But when the headlines reveals several local deaths brought on by tree branches, base ball bats, hammers, etc. from assailants adorned within body armor, the thin line between reality and fantasy is destroyed as well as the horrific realization that they are in way over their minds sets in.
