Hurley

In the 1970s, Hurley Haywood was cool, calm, and collected. Haywood won the 24 Hours of Daytona five times, the Le Mans three times, and the Trans-Am three times. He was a Hollywood archetype: a strikingly handsome man who grew up in a good Midwestern family. But Haywood was often overshadowed by his racing partner and volatile mentor, Peter Gregg. Gregg was like Batman to Haywood's Robin, and his sudden death in 1980 shook the sport to its core. But Haywood had some secrets of his own. His private life was shrouded in mystery, despite his many interactions with women, some of which included public appearances with Penthouse models." With the help of archival footage and exclusive interviews with actor and fellow racer Patrick Dempsey, Hurley gives us a better idea of how Haywood balanced his career and his sexuality.
