King of Beggars

The illiterate General of Canton, General Thus, recommends a idle, joyful life style of cash and gender. His spoiled and also illiterate son, Chan (Stephen Chow), is his faithful disciple. For your love of a lady, Chan attends the examinations for Fighting Styles Scholar at Peking. Chan is victorious on the physical test, but before he is to be crowned, he is found to have cheated upon the exam. The Emperor paragraphs Chan to be a beggar. Using some help that is mysterious, he takes on the position as King of the Beggars Association, although Chan is incapable cope with his newest role. Leading this motley crew into battle against an evil warlord from the entourage of the Emperor, Chan gains esteem, and rescues the Emperor.
