They set out to drive home on the winter highway straight back for their own city, as well as in an instant of altruism, pick siblings up a pair of hitchhikers on their solution, Lee and Cheryl. In the middle of the night they nearly collide with an older man drifting hyperthermic and horrifically frostbitten, on the snowy highway. While searching for his ID they detect a wad of cash, a hand drawn map with GPS coordinates, and also a single gold coin inside his coat. Dawn also will reluctantly go along with Lee's plan to report him into the authorities as a John Doe and pocket the cash. In an attempt to save their financial battles, all four venture off to the snowy jungle searching for the buried gold.
