Oscar and Lucinda

In the beginning, his preacher father beat Oscar Hopkins. He became an Anglican minister and became obsessed with gambling because God told him to do so. Lucinda Leplastrier is a wealthy Australian heiress who is shopping in London for materials for her new glass factory in her home town. In the middle of the ocean, Oscar and Lucinda fall in love with each other. They decide to go to Australia as missionaries, and they meet on board the ship. They make a bet that will change both of their lives.
