Restoration

A aspiring physician, Robert Merivel saves the life span of some one close to the King and found himself at the service of King Charles II. Merivel joins the King's court and lives the high life offered to someone of his position. Merivel is ordered to marry his King's mistress so as to deflect the suspicions that were queens. He is given one order by the king and that is not to fall in love. When Merivel finds himself in love with his new wife the problem worsens. The King relieves Merivel of wealth and his position and finds out. His fall from grace leaves Merivel at which he started. And through his journeys and reunions with an elderly friendhe rediscovers what it seems to be a physician and his love for medicine that is true.
