RISE

Rise is based on the real-life events of a young nurse named Will McIntyre, who loses his freedom after a one-night fling results in a rape charge against him, as depicted in the film. Despite his claims of innocence, he is found guilty at the end of the trial. It is in this prison that Will's courage and struggle to make sense of it all have a positive impact on Jimmy Cove, a hardened inmate who has become infamous for a string of armed robberies.
