The Current

Even though Jake enjoys his life in Chicago, when big city violence becomes a touch too close to home, his parents purchase a campsite in rural Minnesota and relocate the family there. Jake despises his life at the campground until he meets Peter, a young child who lives across the river from him. Despite their differences, the two immediately become great friends and spend a memorable summer on the river together. At one point during one of their chats, Peter expresses his Christian beliefs to Jake. Jake uses his newfound faith to assist a friend who is going through a difficult time.
