The Enchanting Phantom

A classic love story about a scholar who falls in love with a female ghost and attempts to save her from a demon's perpetual enslavement. Ning Cai Chen, a scholar, travels to the capital to sit the official examinations. He spends the night in Lan Ruo temple along the road, where he meets and falls in love with Nie Xiao Qian, a ghost who seduces men into absorbing their life energy as an offering to Lao Lao. Ning Cai Chen and Nie Xiao Qian marry after much battle, but Lao Lao intends to marry Nie Xiao Qian to the Heishan Demon. Ning Cai Chen, desperate, enlists the services of demon hunter Yan Chi Xia.
