The Taming of the Shrew

Baptista, a rich Paduan retailer, declares that his fair young daughter, Bianca, will stay unwed before her older sister, Katharina, a hellish shrew, has wed.. Lucentio, a wealthy Pisan merchant's son and students, has fallen deeply in love with Bianca. He presents as a coach of poetry and music to be near Bianca also to gain entrance. Meanwhile, Petruchio, a fortune-hunting scoundrel from Verona, arrives in Padua, expecting to capture a wealthy wife. Hortensio, another suitor of Bianca, directs Petruchio's awareness of Katharina. When Hortensio warns him concerning the scolding tongue along with fiery temper of Katharina, Petruchio is contested and resolves to capture her love. Hortensio and the other suitor of Bianca, Gremio, accept cover Petruchio's costs because he pursues Katharina.
