Yukito Kunisaki is really on a journey looking for the Winged Maiden who was bound to the sky centuries after hearing the old childhood tale. He discovers himself at a small town by which he'd not expect to stay very long as Yukito shows people in an attempt to make some money his puppet show. As he is invited to stay with her, But when he meets an odd girl called Misuzu, things have a drastic turn. By staying at the town, Yukito soon becomes friends with the locals. Since he gets to know them , he makes the decision to help, putting his search for the Winged Maiden on grip and sees of the problems.
