Amazon was a syndicated tv series created by Peter Benchley. Manufacturing companies Alliance Atlantis Communications & WIC Entertainment and German firm Beta Film GmbH developed it. The 22 episodes of the show were in syndication between 1999 and 2000.
The play show centered on both survivors of a crashed airline flight in the Brazilian Amazon jungle. The set comes in to contact and also relations are anything but friendly. The group has been drawn by a tribe, who descended from century colonists that were lost from Amazon. Relations with the Chosen are tenuous at best. Most of the group leaks the plumped for just to wake up a hornets nest with a tribe of cannibals, headed by an insane American woman bent on domination of the regional tribes. The primary season ended in a cliffhanger, and also a season was not produced. The show retained interest it had been released on DVD.
Rob MacGregor wrote A novelization of the pilot, and also there was a paperback released by Harper about 8 2000.
The German name was Amazonas - Gefangene des Dschungels.
