Barrier Master

'Kekkaishi,' a supernatural manga series by Yellow Tanabe, is both written and illustrated by him. For an English-language release, Viz Media licensed the manga to Shogakukan for publication in Shnen Sunday, which ran from 2003 to 2011. Sunrise produced a fifty-two-episode anime series that aired from October 2006 to February 2008 based on the manga. One of the central plot points of the series is the struggle between Yoshimori Sumimura and Tokine Yukimura to protect their kekkai school from the evil spirits that are attracted to the hallowed land where it is located. An award for shnen manga was given to Kekkaishi in 2007.
