Janus
Janus is an Australian drama tv series screened in 1995 and 1994. Two series are made, with a total of 26 episodes.
Janus was a series from the previous crime series Phoenix.
Loosely based on the true story of Melbourne's Pettingill family and also the Walsh Street police shootings,'' Janus follows the bitterly-fought prosecutions of a notorious criminal family, '' the Hennesseys, by the viewpoints of the family, both the authorities and, specifically, the lawyers, prosecutors, barristers and judges associated with every facets of the narrative.
Four members of the infamous Hennessey clan are acquitted of the shooting two young policemen in a bungled bank heist when the series begins. The town of Melbourne is shocked as Steve and brothers Mal, together side friend Ken Hardy and brother-in-law Darren Mack, walk free.
