First year high schooler Midori Asakusa loves anime a lot, she urges that "concept is everything" in computer animation. While she invests her time doodling countless ideas and also setups in her sketchbook, she hasn't taken the primary step to developing anime, firmly insisting that she can not do it alone. After Asakusa's money-loving best friend Sayaka Kanamori notices her brilliant and also drive, and when it becomes clear that their classmate and also charismatic fashion design Tsubame Mizusaki wishes to be an animator, the energised triad start an animation club.
