Lassie is a American television show that follows the experiences of a lady Rough Collie dog named Lassie and her partners, creature and human. The series has been televised from September 1 2, 1954, to March 24, 1973 and was the creation of creature trainer Rudd Weatherwax and producer Robert Maxwell. One of the show on tv, the series chalked 1 seasons on CBS up before entering syndication for its final two seasons. Filmed in black and white, the series transitioned to color in 1965. The first ten seasons of the show follow the experiences in a small farming area of Lassie. Fictional eleven-year-old Jeff Miller his mum, and his grandfather would be the first partners of Lassie before his parents and seven-year-old Timmy Martin take over in the fourth year old. When Lassie's pops on the farm ending at the eleventh season, she finds experiences. Lassie finally collapses at a children's home for her two seasons that are after traveling without leads to get per calendar year. Lassie received favor at its introduction and won 2 Emmy Awards. Stars Jan Clayton and June Lockhart were nominated for Emmys. Produced throughout the show's run included books, toys, clothing, a Halloween costume, as well as other products. The show sponsor, campbell's Soup, offered two premiums, and spread tens of thousands to fans. A episode has been edited into the feature film Lassie's Great Adventure and released in August 1963.
