The Games

The Games Has Been an Australian Tv Set in Sydney. The show also had two seasons of 13 episodes each, the first in 1998 and the second in 2000 and was broadcast over the ABC. 'The Games' Star Red John Clarke and Bryan Dawe alongside celebrity Nicholas Bell and Australian comedian Gina Riley. It was composed by John Clarke and Ross Stevenson. The show centred on the Sydney Organising Committee for the Olympic Games and also satirised corruption and cronyism at the Olympic movement, bureaucratic ineptness from the New South Wales public company, and unethical behaviour within politics and the media. An unusual characteristic of the series was that the characters introduced the identical name since the celebrities that played with , to enhance the illusion of a documentary over the Sydney Games.
