The O.C.

The series focuses on Ryan Atwood, a troubled youth in the broken home who is embraced by the philanthropic and wealthy Sandy and Kirsten Cohen. Ryan and his brother Seth, a teen ager, deal as outsiders in Newport Beach's entire environment. Ryan and Seth spend time exploring their connections Seth's childhood conquer Summer Roberts, and also the loner Taylor Townsend. Story lines deal with the materialistic, and also closed-minded community where they reside members and the culture clash between the Cohen family that is idealistic. The series includes elements of postmodernism, and serves as a mixture of melodrama and humor.
