Maxine never made it into the big time as part of girl-group Variety, but is still desperately trying to cling to her fantasy since the (failing) music director for teenage pop group Sweet Gyal. Nevertheless Maxine finds herself crisis when, fed up of her trying to live vicariously through her attempts and them to make them a record deal, sexy Gyal threaten to drop her. However, Maxine has produced a program. A keep coming straight back again. This time bigger, bolder and, well... older. Who cares about a young girl-group that is hip any way?!
