El analfabeto
Inocencio Prieto y Calvo receives a letter in which he is informed that he is the heir to his uncle's two million peso fortune. He has no idea who sent the letter or what it says because he can't read. So he goes to the drugstore so that the pharmacist can read the letter to him. However, while waiting to be helped, he notices that a young girl can read. He reasons that he must be able to deduce the letter's content on his own and decides to save the letter, go to school, and wait to read the letter on his own.
