Adapted from the 1951 nonfiction accounts by psycho-analyst Georges Devereux,"Psychotherapy Of A Plains Indian," the film follows the real story of Picard (Del Toro), a Plains Indian of the Blackfeet state, since he returns from WWII and starts experiencing Allergic symptoms shortly afterwards. He travels to the famous cold temperatures Hospital at Topeka, Kansas, where he meets Devereux (Amalric), so beginning a skilled and personalized friendship led by compassion and knowledge of indigenous American civilization.
