Misty Button
This black comedy tells the story of a caper gone bad in the Irish lairs of Brooklyn and the Bronx, evoking the freewheeling émigré lifestyle of guys short on job and cash but long on heavy drinking. James partners up with friend Eoin on a for-hire trip to the racetrack on behalf of slippery raconteur Timmy Thomas, who has just burned his final bridge and is now without a job and a wife. The boys mess up royally in a stupid attempt at sleight of hand by a couple who wouldn't know a winning hand if they saw one, putting themselves in serious debt to a band of thugs. When a daring lady with a soft spot for the sound of Irish and a thing for greenbacks sets her sights on James, a new angle emerges.
