In 1962, the Japanese military destroys another enormous kaiju in Yomama Bay. Prof. Hiro Honda saves her offspring by transporting the enigmatic red egg to the safe haven of Cincinnati, Ohio. However, as the plane approaches, he flushes the egg down the toilet by accident. It merges with the Ohio River. The egg is promptly discovered by Dr. Blowheart and his assistant, Dr. Shirley Yujest, after being dislodged by nuclear testing. Professor Honda informs the pair that the egg contains a living Notzillasaurus Partiontilldon. He emphasizes that the creature will remain little so long as it is not introduced to alcohol. But if it is, it will multiply by hundreds and attack the neighboring metropolis.
