Space Battleship Yamato
Five years after the Gamilons began an invasion of Earth, the planet has been contested by the aliens' bombs. The remnants of humanity have fled underground to flee the surface. 1 afternoon, a capsule sent from the planet Iscandar that informs is discovered by former pilot Susumu Kodai. The Earth Defense Force rebuilds the battleship Yamato using a fresh type of propulsion system to create the 148,000 light year trip assured of rescuing the planet earth to Iscandar. Within one year, rays will drive the remainder of humanity.
