Spring Eddy
Eddy is on the run, a small-time Chicago crook with a flair for dubious ideas. After robbing his boss, Eddy takes off for Mexico, but is distracted along the route by a lovely hitchhiker. What starts out as a simple tryst ends with Eddy in Wynot, TX, beaten up, broken down, and penniless. After inadvertently seeing Willet Nash, the county's all-powerful Sheriff, murder, Eddy tries to hold up a bank and flee, but his bumbling scheme backfires, and he's caught in the act by Nash himself. Eddy's only chance of escaping jail alive is to reunite with his fiancée Jeannie, whom he jilted at the altar back in Chicago.
