Madison finds himself jumped into a life of fear after nearly drowning in a lake. Unable to describe what happened to her during the minutes that she had been submerged, she begins to build up hydrophobia: an abnormal fear of water. Madison attempts to shut out the world but her fear intensifies and she is confronted with the fantasy of a dark figure which haunts her afternoon and nighttime. After seeing her battle for one year with all dreams and the phobia, Madison's four friends attempt an unconventional intervention by which they accidentally open a flood gate to a dark location where not one are safe. Since Madison and her friends dive into the dark history with this figure which haunts them, it reaches out and begins dragging them to a place they can never come back out of.
