The Raffle
Francesca, an exceptionally gorgeous woman, finds her husband's unfaithfulness and the massive debts he left behind after his death. Francesca's best friend is Cesare, a solicitor. Francesca begins selling all her possessions, including the house, diamonds, furs, and lastly, the yacht, on his suggestion. This allows her to exist for the remainder of the year, but she has no prospects for the future, and her attempts to find work all fail. Finally, she decides to start a lottery with her as the winner.
