Girl Model

Even though Siberia and Tokyo don't have many obvious things in common, they are linked by a thriving model industry. The main characters of GIRL MODEL are Ashley, a deeply conflicted model scout who searches the Siberian countryside for new faces to send to the Japanese market, and Nadya, a 13-year-old girl who is taken from the Siberian countryside and dropped in the middle of Tokyo with the promise of a lucrative career. After Ashley first met Nadya, they rarely see each other again. However, their stories are inextricably linked. As Nadya's hopes of helping her family out of their financial troubles grow, they stand in contrast to Ashley's more pessimistic view of how the industry hurts people.
